Staff 
Pastor Thrush was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1940. Choosing to start life afresh, he moved to Australia in 1962. It wasn’t until 1971, through the missionary work of Pastor Bill Cunningham, that his life truly started afresh. It was in this year that he repented and trusted Christ as his personal Saviour. Following the Lord’s leadership in his life, Pastor Thrush surrendered to God’s call on his life for the fulltime ministry. That same year, he and his family packed up their home and left to attend Bible College. Upon graduation, he returned to Western Australia where he started the Bible Baptist Church in Mount Helena in 1980. He has been faithfully serving at the church since that time.
Andrew Hurst is the Associate Pastor of Bible Baptist Church. He grew up in the church until the age of 20 and then left to attend Heartland Baptist Bible College in the United States. Upon completion of his Bachelor in Biblical Studies he took an internship at Liberty Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas. After working there for 2 years, the Lord saw fit to call Andrew back to Bible Baptist Church along with his wife, Rhiannon, and their son Zachariah. Andrew has been on staff since 2008.
Graham Dustan is the School Principal of the Bible Baptist Christian Academy. He has held this position twice, once from 1985-1987 and presently since January 2006. He also has a diploma in accounting, which he attained in 1977, and has been working as an accountant since 1980.
Kyran is the School Administrator at the Bible Baptist Christian Academy. He grew up in the church and also graduated from the Christian Academy. After graduating, Kyran was accepted into Edith Cowan University where he attained an accounting degree and later a diploma of education. Kyran has been on staff since 2006.
Sally Hurst is in charge of the Primary School department at the Bible Baptist Christian Academy. She graduated from Teacher’s College in 1975 and has taught in public schools in Alice Springs, NT and in Tumby Bay, SA. She has worked at the Christian Academy since 1987.
Silvia Wilkins is the Preschool and Year 1 teacher at the Bible Baptist Christian Academy. She also plays a key role in the production of the yearly school play, which is put on by the students at the end of year Parents' Night. She has been teaching at the school since 1990.
